The timing chain tensioner is shown in the figure 2.20.
Caution! After each loosening or removal of the timing chain tensioner, it must be returned to its original position.
Removal
1. Cover the generator.

2. Loosen the timing chain tensioner on the housing.
3. Remove the timing chain tensioner together with the oil seal.
Installation
4. Loosen and remove the screw plug.
5. Disassemble the timing chain tensioner.

6. Remove the stop bolt from the chain tensioner housing in the direction indicated by the arrow (figure 2.21).

7. Press the thrust bolt 1 into the timing chain tensioner housing flush (arrow) (figure 2.22).

8. Install the chain tensioner housing with a new seal. Tightening torque: 80 Nm.
9. Insert compression spring 2 and insert 1 (figure 2.23).

10. Screw in the threaded plug with a new seal. Tightening torque: 40 Nm.
