Removal



1. Press the piston out of the brake caliper using compressed air (arrow) (figure 8.13). Place a wooden block so as not to damage the piston when removing it.

2. Remove the sealing ring using feeler gauge 3409 (figure 8.14).

Installation



3. Lubricate the piston and sealing ring with paste G 052 150 A2 before installation.

4. Install the sealing ring into the brake caliper.

5. Install the protective cover with the outer sealing lip on the piston (figure 3.15).

6. Insert the inner sealing lip into the cylinder groove using feeler gauge 3409 (figure 8.16).

7. Press the piston into the brake caliper (figure 8.17).
