Removal and installation of brake pads and brake caliper up to 01.96 (VW Polo 3)

Removal

1. After unscrewing the bolts, move the caliper (arrow) outward (fig. 11.10).



2. Remove the brake pads and brake pad retainers.

Installation

3. Install the inner brake shoe and secure it to the steering knuckle with a retainer (fig. 11.11). Install the outer brake shoe.



4. Install the brake caliper (arrow) and tighten its mounting bolts (fig. 11.12).
