Tie rods and steering rods (LT 40, 45 and 50 models) — modification since january 1981 (VW Lt 28)

25. Beginning in January 1981, modified connecting and steering rods began to be installed.

26. The lock nuts have been replaced with clamps and the profile of the connecting and steering rod tubes has been modified.

27. The ball joints are a different size and have larger threads.

28. The size of the connecting hole in the steering rod and steering knuckle has been increased accordingly.

29. New parts cannot be installed on old models.
