Removing
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Disconnect connector (1) from the secondary air pump motor.
3. Disconnect air hoses (2) And (3) from the secondary air pump motor.
4. Remove the upper part of the guide tube, together with the dipstick, from the bottom of the guide tube and secondary air pump motor bracket.
5. Loosen the fasteners of the secondary air pump bracket to the intake manifold (arrows).
6. Loosen the screws securing the fuel rail and remove the rivets securing the wiring harness to the fuel rail (arrows).
7. Loosen the rest of the screws (arrows) fastening the lower part of the intake manifold to the cylinder head,
8. Carefully spread the fasteners on the upper part of the intake manifold and remove the lower part of the intake manifold towards the front. Disconnect the fuel rail with injectors from the bottom of the intake manifold.
9. Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the fuel rail and without jerks pull the fuel manifold together with the injectors up from the bottom of the intake manifold (arrows) and put it in the engine compartment on a clean rag.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, while observing the following points,
- Replace O-rings between intake manifold and cylinder head.
- Replace injector O-rings, lightly moisten new ones with clean engine oil,
- Install the fuel manifold with the injectors inserted into it onto the intake manifold and gently and smoothly press it so that the injectors enter the seats.
- Make sure that the O-rings are correctly installed between the top and bottom of the intake manifold.
Tightening torques:
- Intake manifold to cylinder head: 25 Nm.
- Mounting screws lower part of the intake manifold to the upper part: 3 Nm.
- Fuel manifold to intake manifold: 8 Nm.
