System elements associated with the thermostat:
1. Thermostat connecting pipe.
2. Self-tapping screw for fastening the thermostat pipe: 7 Nm.
3. Sealing ring:
- replace with a new one during assembly.
4. Thermostat:
- check - heat the thermostat in a water bath;
- start of opening: approximately 84°C;
- end of opening: approximately 98°C;
- valve stroke: not less than 7 mm.
5. The supply hose branch connecting the thermostat housing to the heat exchanger.
6. Thermostat housing.
7. The return hose connection connecting the thermostat housing to the heat exchanger.
8. The tube connecting the thermostat housing to the coolant pump.
9. Sealing ring:
- replace with a new one during assembly.
10. Water pump housing on the cylinder block.
11. Mounting bracket
12. Thermostat housing fastening screw: 10 Nm.
13. Plug:
- Before removing, if necessary, relieve pressure in the cooling system.
14. Coolant temperature sensor (G62):
- Before removing, if necessary, relieve pressure in the cooling system.
15. Mounting bracket.
16. Self-tapping screw 7 Nm.
17. Connecting pipe.
18. The hose branch connecting the thermostat housing to the lower radiator branch.
19. The hose branch connecting the thermostat housing to the upper radiator branch.
