- To prevent the seat belt tensioner from operating, with the ignition off, first disconnect the ground (-) cable and then the positive (+) cable from the battery. Follow the instructions in Chapter "Removal and installation the battery".
- Seat belt tensioning mechanisms must not be opened or repaired.
- Seat belt tensioners that have been subjected to severe impacts, dropped to the floor, or damaged (dents, cracks), it is absolutely necessary to replace it.
- Never use an impact screwdriver to loosen the tensioning mechanism fastener.
- Seat belt tensioners must not be exposed to lubricants, cleaning agents or similar products, or to temperatures exceeding 100°C, even for short periods.
- If the tensioner is triggered, the entire seat belt must be replaced.
