1. Before removing the propeller shaft, mark the position of the shaft rear flange and the rear axle mating flange in relation to each other. This is usually done by the manufacturer, but if not, make the marks yourself using quick-drying paint.
2. Loosen and remove the flange bolts, pull the shaft forward and downward slightly, and then pull it out of the rear end of the transmission extension housing.
3. Before installing the shaft in place, apply multi-purpose grease to the front sliding part of the shaft.
4. Align the position marks and tighten the bolts to the required degree.
