2. The comments in Chapter 7 also apply to the driveshaft on newer models in that none of the driveshaft joints are repairable and the shaft sections should not be replaced individually as they are balanced against each other.
3. To replace the central bearing, you need to remove the propeller shaft (see chapter 7) and unscrew the bearing bolts.
4. Disconnect the two shaft sections by removing the locking ring and unscrewing the bolt.
5. Knock out the center bearing from the front section of the shaft.
6. The bearing is installed in reverse order. Install a new pivot fork and locking ring. Keep in mind that to maintain balance, the shaft sections must be connected to each other in exactly the same position as they were before they were disconnected.
