Installation position of the outer, inner and locking rings of 2nd gear (VW Caddy 3)

Install the inner ring (A) onto the 2nd gear synchronizer sleeve. The curved projections (arrows 1) must be directed towards the outer ring (B).

Install the outer ring (B), the protrusions (arrows 2) should enter the recesses (arrows 3) of the synchronizer sleeve.

Install the synchronizer locking ring (C). The notches (arrows 4) must align with the protrusions (arrows 1) of the inner ring.
