Note: The rear light is composite. One segment of the light is installed in the rear side of the car, and the other is built into the rear door.
Light on the rear side of the car
Removal
Turn off the ignition and turn off the light using the switch.
With the ignition off, disconnect the ground (-) cable from the battery.
Attention: Follow the instructions given in the chapter "Removal and installation the battery".
Open the rear door and remove the 2 screws from the rear door frame. The picture shows the rear light removed from the rear. 1 - screw holes; 2 — screw for fixing the lamp holder.
Press the rear light slightly outward, supporting it with your hand.
Pull the taillight back hard, continuously swinging it up and down.
Note: The rear light is fixed in the rear side part with two rigid metal springs "arrows", which are pulled out of the side part with great difficulty.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Replacing an incandescent light bulb
Remove the rear light.
Remove 2 screws "2" and detach the lamp holder from the lamp, see figure V-5643.
Press the incandescent lamp into the holder, turn it counterclockwise and remove it.
Insert a new lamp into the holder, turn it clockwise and fix it.
Check the operation of the flashlight with a new incandescent bulb.
Rear door light
Removal
Open the rear door and remove the cover on the side of its trim.
Remove the two plugs from the rear door and unscrew the "arrow" screws located underneath them.
Unscrew screw "2", remove the rear light by moving it downwards and disconnect plug -1-.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Replacing an incandescent light bulb
Remove the rear light.
Side light: turn the socket on the back of the lamp counterclockwise and remove it together with the incandescent bulb. Remove the incandescent bulb from the socket and replace it with a new one.
Rear fog light and reversing light: unscrew the 2 screws "3" and detach the bulb holder from the light, see figure V-5644. Press the bulb into the holder, turn it counterclockwise and remove it. Insert a new bulb into the holder, turn it clockwise and lock it.
Check the operation of the flashlight with a new incandescent bulb.
