Removal
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Remove the upper part of the timing belt cover.
3. Remove the cylinder head cover.
4. Align the TDC marks of the piston of cylinder No.1 on the crankshaft:
- A - Engines AEY, ANV, AKW,
- B - Engines AFN, AHU, ALE (fig. 6.3).
5. Lock the camshaft pulley with the locking pin (fig. 6.6).
6. Remove the intermediate roller.
7. Unscrew the tension roller.
8. Loosen the timing belt tension and remove it from the camshaft and fuel injection pump pulleys.
9. Lock the fuel injection pump pulley.
10. Unscrew the fuel injection pump pulley mounting nut.
11. Install puller 3032 (arrow) into the hole in the fuel injection pump pulley and secure it to it (Fig. 6.71).
12. Unscrew the fuel lines from the high-pressure fuel pump.
13. Seal the ropes with cloth.
14. Disconnect the wiring connectors from: fuel shut-off valve/fuel injection start valve, fuel quantity regulator. Disconnect the wires from the clamps.
15. Unscrew the bolts on the bracket (arrows) (Fig. 6.72).
16. Unscrew the rear support mounting bolt (arrow) (Fig. 6.73).
17. Remove the fuel injection pump.
Installation
18. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
