Before recognizing them as faulty, it is necessary:
- check the density of the electrolyte. If the electrolyte density in all banks differs by no more than 0.02 g / ml, then the battery can be charged with a conventional charger;
- check the battery after charging to the load. If the values are not maintained, it is faulty:
- if the density of the electrolyte in one or two adjacent banks is very different (for example, 5 jars show 1.16 g/ml, and one 1.08 g/ml), then the battery has a short circuit and is defective.
To prevent battery aging, recharge a stored battery every 3 months.
