The check must be carried out at an oil temperature of at least 60 degrees C.
Blow out the engine from soot deposits while parked, giving full throttle 5 times.
Leave the engine running at idle speed.
Press the gas pedal all the way down as quickly as possible and hold it in this position for at least 2 seconds until reaching maximum RPM. Repeat these actions 3 times, each time leaving the engine to idle for about 10 seconds.
Evaluate the gases coming out of the exhaust pipe.
If a black cloud is clearly visible, you need to check the muffler according to the fault table in the section "Exhaust system".
