Description of the design of the cabin heating system (VW Transporter T3)

In a diesel Volkswagen bus, the coolant passes through a heat exchanger to heat the cabin. Temperature regulation occurs by mixing cold and warm air. An electric air blower is used to increase the flow of fresh or, respectively, heated air.

Temperature regulation is stepless and independent of engine speed. The bus can be equipped with an additional heating system if desired.
