The paper filter element of the air filter is usually changed in accordance with the regulations specified in the service book. If the dust concentration is high, the filter element must be cleaned or changed more frequently.
Cleaning or replacing the filter element
Rotate the plastic tabs on the metal brackets (arrows) upward and unhook the metal tabs. Remove the engine cover from the engine compartment along with the flexible air guide pipe - the air guide pipe must not be bent. Remove the filter element. Blow out the filter element with compressed air or replace it.
Caution! The filter element must not be washed with gasoline or lubricated with oil.

Air filter with contamination level indicator
The indicator is located on the air filter housing and shows the degree of contamination of the filter. If the red surface on field B of the indicator reaches the 100% mark, the filter needs to be cleaned or replaced. After cleaning or replacing the filter, the indicator must be returned to its original position. This can be done by turning button A to the left. After resetting, the red surface should no longer be visible on the indicator's field B.
