Windscreen wipers and washers (VW Lt 2d)

The windshield wipers and washer system operate only when the ignition is on.

• Intermittent mode: lift the lever only to the point of resistance before the first detent.
• Slow cleaning: the lever is locked in position 1.
• Quick cleaning: the lever is locked in position2.
• Periodic cleaning: the lever is locked in position 3. The windshield wipers operate every 6 seconds.
• Automatic cleaning and rinsing: press the lever to the position 4 - windshield wipers and washers are working. Release the lever - the windshield washers turn off, and the windshield wipers continue to work for about 4 seconds.

Headlight washers

With the low or high beam headlights on during each glass cleaning process 4 the headlights are also washed.
