Disassembly and assembly of the clutch with the synchronizer hub of 1st and 2nd gears (VW Caddy 3)

The flanges on both sides of the synchronizer hub are the same width. But on one side the flange has an internal chamfer (arrow B).

After assembly, the hub flange with the chamfer and the end of the coupling with the external toothed ring (arrow A) should be on the same side of the synchronizer.

The grooves for the crackers in the hub and coupling (arrow C) must be located opposite each other.

The synchronizer sleeve is placed on the hub.

Insert crackers and install springs with an offset of 120° relative to each other. Insert the bent end of the spring into the recess of one of the crackers.

Insert crackers and install springs with an offset of 120° relative to each other. In this case, the bent ends of the springs (arrows) should be located behind the crackers.
