List of parts of the steering knuckle with the hub assembly with technological notes on repair to figure VC5.009:
1. Shock absorber strut.
2. Tie rod end.
3. Bolt with internal hexagon.
4. Hexagon socket head bolt.
5. Front left (G47) and front right (G45) wheel speed sensor:
- Before installing the sensor, clean the hole and apply a little plastic grease G 000 650.
6. Shield.
7. Nut:
- replace after each removal.
8. Hexagon head bolt.
9. Brake disc.
10. Hub bolt:
- when loosening and tightening the bolts, the car should not stand on its wheels;
- replace after each removal.
11. Phillips head screw.
12. Wheel hub with bearing (bearing unit):
- the bearing unit does not require adjustment or maintenance. Adjustment and repair of this unit is not possible!
- the driving rotor for the ABS sensor is built into the bearing unit.
13. Steering knuckle with screw-on brake caliper:
- after replacing the steering knuckle, it is necessary to adjust the wheel alignment angles.
14. Steering knuckle:
- with integrated brake caliper;
- after replacing the steering knuckle, it is necessary to adjust the wheel alignment angles.
15. Hexagon socket head bolt:
- replace after each removal.
16. Drive shaft.
17. Nut:
- replace after each removal.
