The alarm also works when the ignition is off. The hazard warning lights should be turned on in the following situations:
- You have reached the tail end of the traffic jam.
- The car has a malfunction.
- The movement of your vehicle poses a danger to other road users.
It is also recommended to turn on the alarm if you have to stop to fix a problem.
To turn on the hazard warning lights, press the button in the center of the instrument panel. All the direction indicator lights will start flashing in unison. The direction indicators and the hazard warning light switch will start flashing at the same time.
Note: To avoid draining the battery, do not leave the hazard warning lights on for long periods of time when the engine is not running.
