Dismantling
Raise the rear of the car.
Disconnect battery from "masses".
Remove the engine/drive mounting bolts and throttle link support.
(35-684) unscrew the holder of the hydraulic pipeline 1a from the drive.
Unscrew cylinder 2a from the holder and hang it from above on a wire hook.
Attention! The hydraulic piping remains closed.
Unscrew the cardan shaft to the left of the drive and hang it at the top on a wire hook.
Remove reverse signal cable.
(34-1290) remove starter, see "Dismantling and installation of the starter".
(35-682) support the engine with a special holding device.
If there is no such device, use a car jack, laying a wooden plate between it and the engine.
(34-1292) unscrew the gearshift mechanism from the drive.
Support the drive.
(34-.1294) disconnect the cable for connection with the body from the structure.
Unscrew the front drive suspension from the structure.
Lower the front of the drive until it can pass under the traverse.
Loosen the fixing screws for the motor/drive at the bottom.
Remove the gearbox from the engine locating pins and pull it out.
Installation
Attention! When replacing the gearbox or clutch motor, make sure that the diameters of the release bearing and the diaphragm springs match, see page 100. "Clutch".
Before installing the gearbox, do the following:
Check the clutch release bearing for wear and replace if necessary.
Attention! Do not wash the bearing, but only wipe it.
Clean drive shaft fine spline and lightly lubricate with molybdenum grease.
Insert the gearbox with a jack.
Tighten the engine/gearbox connecting bolts to a torque of 30 Nm. Raise the engine with the transmission.
Screw the cable to the structure to connect to the housing.
Screw the front drive suspension firmly to the structure, do not tighten it completely!
Screw the gearshift mechanism to the gearbox,
Screw the cardan shaft to the drive with a torque of 45 Nm.
Install starter.
Connect reverse signal cable.
Screw the clutch release bearing to the holder.
Screw the hydraulic line bracket onto the drive.
Tighten the connecting bolts motor/drive at the top.
Reinforce the gas traction support.
Tighten the front drive mount to 45 Nm.
Join'"mass" to the battery.
Lower the car.
