Fig. 2.297. Muffler with fasteners:
1 - double clamp, 40 Nm; 2 - resonator; 3 - bolt, 25 Nm; 4 - hanging mount; 5 - incision site; 6 - muffler; 7 - hanging mount; 8 - double clamp; 9 - hanging mount; 10 - double clamp.
NOTE: After installation work on the exhaust system, check that the distance between the exhaust system components and the body is sufficient. If necessary, disconnect the flange on the catalytic converter and re-align the mufflers and exhaust pipes.
NOTE: Before removing the exhaust pipes with the catalytic converter, disconnect the battery.
NOTE: When installing the intake pipes, check the tightness of the flange connection after the catalytic converter. A loose connection in this place is the cause of cross-section of the exhaust gases. Because of this, outside air gets to the lambda probe after the catalytic converter, and the lambda regulation is disrupted.
Self-locking nuts must be replaced.
Mounting position of the double repair clamp in the direction of travel

1 - The end of the screw should not extend beyond the bottom edge of the double clamp.
2 - Angle 10° + 5°.
