- When installing a new engine control unit, it is necessary to adapt the throttle control unit. Adaptation may only be carried out with a new or cleaned throttle control unit, as contamination/coking of the throttle valve may lead to incorrect values,
- When cleaning, do not leave any scratches on the throttle body.
Engine with the letter designation BCA and BUD
1. Remove the air filter.

2. Remove the throttle module.
3. Open the throttle valve by hand and secure it in the open position with a handy tool (for example, with a plastic or wooden wedge) (arrow).
Caution! Do not use compressed air when cleaning the throttle valve.
1. Thoroughly clean the throttle valve pipe, especially in the area (arrows) of the closed valve, with ordinary acetone using a brush.
2. Wipe the flaps with a lint-free cloth.
3. Wait until the acetone has evaporated and reinstall the throttle control unit.
