Exhaust system — design description (VW Beetle)

The exhaust system consists of a muffler, an exhaust pipe and a heat exchanger. The exhaust gases pass through a heat exchanger, which heats fresh air that warms the car's interior. The muffler can be removed without removing the engine. To remove the heat exchanger, you must first remove the engine.

Exhaust system components: 1 - heating and ventilation system hose; 2 - self-locking nuts; 3 - muffler; 4 - heat exchanger (check the thermal damper for ease of movement); 5 - sealing ring (replace); 6 - exhaust pipe (maintain planting depth)
