Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on supports. Loosen the cable using two wrenches, 9mm and 10mm. Remove the rubber sealing plug along the cable.

Remove the parking brake handle protective cuff and unscrew the hex nut from the right adjusting…


Remove the parking brake handle protective cuff and unscrew the hex nut from the right adjusting lever.

Remove the adjusting lever with the washer from the support post.

Installation



Lightly lubricate the cable and slide it into the tube.

Install the adjusting lever and secure it to the support post using the tension washer. The lever force can be changed by loosening or tightening the hex nut.

Seal the rear ends of the tubes with rubber sealing plugs.

Attach the cable to the HVAC damper and check that the damper opens and closes fully.

Please note: The rear seat adjustment lever (left) is secured with slotted head screws, which are accessible after removing the mat. Otherwise, the removal and installation of this lever is carried out in the same way as the right one.
