Of particular importance for good engine performance is the correct depth of seating of the exhaust pipe in the muffler.
Attention! If the exhaust pipe is pushed too far into the muffler, there is a risk of engine damage due to overheating due to too high dynamic pressure in the muffler.
Removing
Loosen the clamps on the exhaust pipe. Take out the pipe. Sometimes the pipe sits so firmly that it can only be removed after warming up with a welding torch (at the junctions).
Installation
Cars Kafer 1200
Kafer 1200 vehicles have a silencer with heating line 1 in the exhaust pipe.
Push left exhaust pipe (total length 226 mm) so that the size "b" was equal to 220 mm. For proper installation, you need to push the ruler into it until it rests on the pipeline.
Align the right exhaust pipe with the left pipe.
Install new clamps and tighten them tightly.
Cars Kafer 1300/1600
The Kafer 1300/1600 does not have a heating pipe in the exhaust pipe. The total length of the exhaust pipe is 226 mm.
Insert the exhaust pipe and adjust it so that the size "A" was 155 mm.
Install new clamps and tighten them tightly.
