Removal



With the ignition off, disconnect the ground (-) cable from the battery.

Attention: Follow the instructions given in the chapter "Removal and installation the battery".


Move the steering wheel down and pull it all the way towards you.

Unfasten cover "1" and place it on the upper cover of the steering column switches "2".

Note: The steering wheel does not need to be removed for this purpose.

Remove 2 "arrow" screws.

Pull the instrument panel back a little, towards the seat.

If present, loosen the wire clamp on the back of the instrument panel.

Press the locking plates of the plugs, disconnect the plug connectors from the rear side of the instrument panel and remove the instrument panel.



Installation



Installation is carried out in reverse order.

If the instrument cluster has been replaced, it is necessary to match the service interval indicator with the daily mileage counter (at the service station).

Turn on the ignition and check the operation of the alarms and indicators on the instrument panel.

Unscrew screws "1", "2" and remove the upper steering column trim.

Using a plastic wedge, such as 1965-20, carefully release the clamps "3" and remove the instrument panel frame.

To protect against damage, cover the edges of the instrument panel with adhesive tape.

Unscrew the "arrow" screws and pull the instrument panel back a little, in the direction of the seat. Use a plastic wedge for this.


Disconnect the plug connectors from the rear of the instrument panel and carefully remove the instrument panel.

Installation



Installation is performed in the reverse order. Make sure that the locking hooks of the upper steering column trim are correctly inserted into the lower trim.
