Current measurement
In a machine, it is relatively rare to measure the current strength.
To measure the current strength, it is necessary to open the circuit, and connect an ammeter to the gap. To do this, for example, the plug and the red cable can be removed () ammeter is connected to the electrical wire. Black cable (-) must be connected to a terminal to which an open wire is normally connected. Ground contact between consumer and plug must be restored with an additional conductor.
Attention! Never measure the current in the starter wiring with a conventional ammeter (about 150 A) or diesel engine glow plugs (up to 60 A). The resulting high currents will destroy the device. To do this, use an ammeter with a clamp for direct current. In this case, the clamp captures the insulation of the conductor and the current strength is measured by induction.
