Removal and installation a sliding door (VW Transporter T4)

Removal

1. Unscrew the cross-head screw (1) and remove the locking piece (2) from the guide rail (outside on the body).



2. Unscrew the screw (2) from the inside of the sliding door and remove the middle stop (1).



3. Unscrew the screw (1) on the footboard and remove the door stop (2).





4. Open the sliding door fully, removing the roller guide from the guide rail (arrow).



5. Lower the sliding door at the front until the upper roller guide can be removed from the guide rail.



6. With the help of others, move the door in the opposite direction until the hinge fitting (1) slides out of the guide rail (2).

Installation

1. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

2. Tighten the screws to a torque of 20 Nm.
