Remove any remaining sealant on the oil pan using a rotating brush attachment, such as a hand drill with a set of plastic bristle brush attachments (put on protective goggles).
Clean the seating surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.
NOTE: Check the expiration date of the sealant. The oil pan must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant.
Cut off the tip of the tube at the front mark (holes about 3mm).
Apply sealant to the clean seating surface of the oil pan. The bead of sealant should be: 2-3 mm thick Apply sealant from the inside at the holes for the fixing bolts.
