Sequence of actions when disconnecting batteries.
CAUTION: Failure to follow the correct sequence may result in the battery isolator closing and damage to the vehicle's electrical system.
Disconnect the battery under the driver's seat.
Disconnect the second battery located in the luggage compartment.
Disconnecting the second battery located in the trunk.
Raise the boot floor trim and remove it in the direction of the arrow (pic. 7.14).
Open clips 1 and unscrew nuts 2 on the right side of the battery cover (pic. 7.15).
Open clips 1 and unscrew nuts 2 on the left side of the battery cover (pic. 7.16).
Unscrew the nuts of the clamps and remove the fixing clamps (pic. 7.17).
First unscrew the negative terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.
Then unscrew the positive terminal from the battery terminal.
Connecting a second battery located in the luggage compartment
Attach the positive terminal to the positive terminal of the battery.
Tighten the fixing screw of the positive terminal to the specified tightening torque.
Only after the positive terminal has been fixed can the negative terminal be put on the negative terminal of the battery.
Tighten the negative terminal fixing screw to the prescribed torque.
