Electrical equipment system (VW Polo 4)

In accordance with the maintenance chart, the following work must be performed at certain intervals.

• All electrical consumers: check operation.
• Front and rear windshield wipers: check. If the blades rattle, check the installation angles of the windshield wiper arms.
• Windscreen washer system/headlamp lens washer system: check the washer fluid level, check the operation of the systems and the correct position of the washer nozzles, see section "Windscreen wiper system".
• Battery: check.
• Service interval indicator: Reset to original position.
• Check headlight adjustment: if necessary, adjust (at a service station).
• Self-diagnosis: read the contents of the fault code memory (at the service station). Connect a fault code reader, such as VAS-5051, to the diagnostic connector under the instrument panel in the driver's footwell with the ignition off using the VAS-5051/3 connecting cable.
