When working on interior fittings, the following instructions must be strictly followed.
  • To press out plastic trims and overlays, it is recommended to use a plastic wedge, for example, HAZET 1965-20.
  • Any clamps damaged during removal of the trim must be replaced.
  • The window and door pillars of the body in sequence from front to back are designated as pillars A, B and C.
  • Seats, seat belts and airbags are important components of the safety system. For safety reasons, only perform the work described here. Do not perform complex work yourself, always contact a service station for this.

Caution: If work on the electrical system is also performed during body work, it is essential to disconnect the battery ground wire (-). Before performing work, read the instructions in the chapter "Removing and installing the battery". In this case, performing work on the electrical system also means disconnecting and connecting electrical wires at the connectors.

Caution: Strictly follow safety precautions when handling inflatable airbag, especially when working with the instrument panel

To prevent the airbag from deploying, before disconnecting the airbag system wires, turn off the ignition, and then disconnect the ground (-) wire from the battery first, and then the positive (+) wire. In addition, for safety reasons, the negative terminal of the battery need to be isolated.
