On engines AGP, AQM, AYQ
1. Remove the upper part of the intake manifold.
For all engines
2. Connect the measuring device to the high-pressure fuel pump (arrow) (Fig. 7.19).
3. Remove the glow plugs using the 3220 key.
4. Screw the VAG 1381/12 adapter into the glow plug hole (Fig. 7.20). Check the compression using the VAG 1763 compression tester.
New engine compression: 25-31 bar. Permissible wear: 19 bar.
Permissible difference between cylinders: 5 bar.
