Seats - removal and installation

1. The driver's seat is removed and installed as described in chapter 1, Section 4.

2. The passenger seat is integral with its support frame, which is bolted to the cabin floor (see photo).



3. Unscrew 4 bolts and remove the seat together with the support frame.

4. The seat is installed in reverse order.

Lower mudguards

5. Protective mudguards are installed under the engine and gearbox.

6. These shields are bolted to the lower frame of the body (see photos).

7. The shields are quite light, but due to their large size, 2 people are required to remove and install them.

Plastic parts

8. Plastic is widely used in modern cars (bumpers, spoilers and sometimes even structural body parts). If such parts are damaged, it is better to entrust their repair to a specialist, as it requires special equipment. The repair technique involves making a groove along the crack line with a rotary file and then "welding" the damaged part of the part with an industrial hair dryer, ironing a special plastic filler into the groove. Excess filler is then removed and the joint is sanded to a smooth surface. It is very important that the filler type matches the material from which the part is made, as different plastics have different characteristics!

9. When painting plastic parts, it is necessary to select a paint that is suitable for the type of plastic. There are universal paints that adhere well to all types of plastics. Currently, special kits are sold that include a pre-primer, a primer, and the paint itself. The kits usually come with instructions, but in principle they are all used in the following way. First, apply a coat of primer and let it dry for 30 minutes. Then apply the primer, which dries for about an hour, and then the paint itself. This coating is sufficiently elastic and will bend along with the plastic without falling off. Ordinary paints do not have this property.
