Front panel — removal and installation (VW Lt 28)

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Reach behind the front panel, squeeze the light switch retaining lugs together and remove the switch.

3. Remove the heater fan and hazard warning light switches in the same manner.

4. Working under the dash again, disconnect the air tubes from the heater housing.

5. Remove the toolbar.

6. Disconnect the fresh air supply tubes through the hole formed after removing the instrument panel.

7. Remove the cover from the brake hydraulic fluid reservoir and remove the reservoir by unscrewing its single mounting screw.

8. Remove the radio and speaker, if installed.

9. Loosen and remove the mounting screws from the front edge of the dash panel just below the windshield.

10. Loosen and remove the screws that secure the front panel to the body pillars.

11. Working under the front edge of the front panel, remove the screws that hold it to the support brackets. Remove the front panel.

12. Installation is carried out by performing the above steps in reverse order.
