Maintenance of electrical equipment (VW Beetle)

The performance of the vehicle's electrical equipment must be checked periodically.

As part of the maintenance, the following are checked and, if necessary, adjusted or replaced:

• ignition timing angle;
• spark plugs;
• electrolyte level in the battery;
• condition of the generator and starter carbon brushes (every 50,000 km).

Caution! When performing any work on electrical equipment, it is necessary to disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
