Attention: When driving frequently in very dusty conditions, the replacement intervals for the engine air filter and the dust and pollen air filter should be halved.
Engine
- Engine/Engine Compartment: Visual inspection of systems for leaks.
- Engine: Change engine oil and oil filter.
- Cooling and heating systems: check fluid level, check antifreeze concentration. Visual check of tightness and external contamination of the radiator.
- Exhaust system: Check for damage, leaks and loose fastenings.
- Diesel engine when operating on conventional diesel fuel: remove water from the fuel filter.
- Diesel engine with biofuel operation: replace the fuel filter.
- 1.4 liter petrol engine: check toothed belt for damage and replace if necessary (first time after 90,000 km, then every 30,000 km).
Gearbox/final gear
- Gearbox/final drive: visual check for leaks and damage.
- Manual gearbox/ final drive: Check oil level, top up if necessary.
Front Axle/Steering
- Tie rod ends: check gaps and fastening, check dust caps.
- Ball joints: Check dust caps.
- Corrugated gaiters for cardan shafts: Check for leaks and damage.
Brakes/Tires/Wheels
- Brake system: Check lines, hoses and connections for leaks and damage.
- Brake system: Check and top up the brake fluid level if necessary.
- Brake system: Check the thickness of the front and rear brake pads.
- Tire set: check tread height and tire pressure; check tires for wear and damage (including spare wheel).
- Tire set including spare wheel: check tire pressure.
- TIREFIT tire sealant: if available, check expiration date, replace sealant if necessary.
Body/interior

Electrical system
- Front and rear lights and lamps, turn signal lamps, hazard warning lights: check operation.
- All electrical consumers / controls / indicators / interior lighting / horn: check function.
- Wiper blades: Check the rubber bands of the wipers for wear. If the blades rattle, check the setting angles of the wiper arms.
- Windscreen washer system: check operation, check correct position of washer nozzles, top up washer fluid level, check headlight washer system.
- Battery: check.
- Maintenance interval indicator: reset.

- Headlights: check alignment (at the service station).
