Headlight adjustment (VW Transporter T4)

For road safety, headlight adjustment is of great importance. Accurate headlight adjustment is only possible with a special device. Therefore, it will only be indicated in which places the headlight can be adjusted and what conditions a correctly adjusted headlight must meet.

Tires must have the prescribed air pressure.

The driver's seat of an unladen vehicle must be occupied by one person weighing 75 kg or by an object of the same weight.

1. Fill the tank with fuel.

2. Place the machine on a level surface.

3. Press down hard on the front of the car several times until the car rests completely on the front suspension.

4. Set the range adjustment button to "O".



5. The headlight is adjusted only for low beam (A - height adjustment screw, B - side adjustment screw). The slope of a regular headlight is x = 12 cm per 10 m of length. For a fog light, x = 20 cm per 10 m of length.

Adjusting the fog light

1. The fog light has only height adjustment and does not have lateral adjustment. To adjust the height, insert into the cutout (indicated by the arrow) place a screwdriver next to the headlight and turn the wheel.





2. For cars without a spoiler (fairing) wheel (indicated by the arrow) can be rotated by hand.
