Note: An aerial with an electronic amplifier is fitted as standard for radio reception on the roof of the vehicle. The antenna amplifier is located at the base of the antenna.

The nut is connected to the toothed washer by means of a plastic ring. In the area of the toothed washer on the inner surface of the roof, apply grease for electrical contacts (ground connection).

Measures for protection against radio interference
An important part of the electrical consumers in the vehicle is the standard radio interference protection.
Sources of radio interference in a car with a radio or a radio being prepared for installation are:
- cooling fan motor
- windshield wiper motor
- rear window wiper motor.
In a car with a radio or a radio being prepared for installation, an additional ground connection is established:
- jumper mass from the left wheel arch to the hood of the engine compartment.
