Note: For radio reception, an antenna with an electronic amplifier is installed on the roof of the car as standard. The antenna amplifier is located at the base of the antenna.

Measures to protect against radio interference



An important part of the electrical consumers in the car is the serially installed protection against radio interference.

Sources of radio interference in a car with a radio or a radio being prepared for installation are:
  • cooling system fan motor
  • windshield wiper motor
  • rear window wiper motor.

In a vehicle with a radio or one being prepared for installation of a radio, an additional ground connection is installed:
  • ground jumper from the left wheel arch to the engine compartment hood.
