Removal
1. Remove the piston from the brake caliper using compressed air (fig. 11.27). Place a wooden block to avoid damaging the piston.

2. Remove the seal using blade 3409 (fig. 11.28). When removing, make sure that the cylinder surface is not damaged.

Installation
3. The surface of the piston and seal should be cleaned with methyl alcohol and then thoroughly dried.
4. Before installation, lubricate the piston and seal with paste G 052 150 A2.
5. Insert the seal into the brake caliper.
6. Install the protective seal with the outer edge on the piston (fig. 11.23).
7. Using blade 3409, insert the inner lip of the seal into the groove in the cylinder while holding the piston in the front of the caliper (fig. 11.29).

8. Move the piston inside the caliper using the tool (fig. 11.30). The outer edge of the protective seal must be positioned in the piston groove.
