Removing
1. Remove the piston from the brake caliper using compressed air (pic. 11.27). Install a block of wood to avoid damaging the piston.
2. Remove the oil seal using the blade 3409 (pic. 11.28). When removing, make sure that the surface of the cylinder is not damaged.
Installation
3. The surface of the piston and seal must be cleaned with methanol and then thoroughly dried.
4. Lubricate the piston and stuffing box with G 052 150 A2 paste before installation.
5. Insert the oil seal into the brake caliper.
6. Install the protective gland with the outer edge on the piston (rice. 11.23).
7. Using blade 3409, insert the inner lip of the oil seal into the groove in the cylinder while holding the piston in front of the caliper (pic. 11.29).
8. Move the piston inside the caliper using the tool (pic. 11.30). The outer edge of the protective gland must be located in the piston groove.
