Removing
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
Use a screwdriver to pry out the cable connector on the back of the generator.
Disconnect the dead center sensor connector from the alternator.
On vehicles with power steering, first remove the hydraulic pump V-belt.
Unscrew the tightening bolt of the tension bar and tilt the generator to the left, remove the V-belt from the generator.
Loosen the alternator mounting bolts, remove the alternator.
Installation
Insert the alternator and screw on the alternator bracket.
Fit the V-belt, install the tension bar, tighten the V-belt.
Install the hydraulic pump V-belt.
Connect the cable connector.
Connect the dead center sensor connector.
Connect ground wire to battery.
V-belt tension
Check the wear of the V-belt, replace the worn belt.
Loosen the bolt securing the tension bar on the engine crankcase.
Press the generator to the side with a mount so that the V-belt bends when you press your finger on its middle by 10-15 mm.
Tighten the tension bar bolt.
Check the V-belt tension again.
