The lambda probe is used to regulate the composition of exhaust gases and is installed in a car with an adjustable catalytic converter. It is installed on the front exhaust pipe near the connecting flange.
Removal
1. Disconnect the plug connection.
2. Unscrew the lambda probe from the exhaust pipe.
Installation
1. Lubricate the lambda probe threads with special VW G5 grease.
Caution! G5 should not get on the splines of the lambda probe body. If possible, do not touch the body of the new lambda probe and do not contaminate it.
2. Screw the lambda probe into the exhaust pipe with a torque of 50 Nm.
3. Connect the plug to the lambda probe.
