Check the battery terminals for corrosion. Corrosion at the poles appears as white or yellowish powdery deposits.

To remove corrosion, treat the poles with a soda water solution. In this case, a chemical reaction occurs with the formation of gas bubbles and a change in the color of deposits at the poles to brown.
If necessary, clean the poles with a pole cleaner or with a wire brush to remove corrosion residues.
After the end of this reaction, wash the poles and the battery with clean water and dry.
