Removal and installation the steering column pipe with the steering column (VW Polo 3)

Removal

1. Remove the airbag if equipped.

2. Remove the steering wheel.

3. Remove the decorative covers below the steering column switches.

4. Disconnect the wiring connector (arrow) (Fig. 10.2).



5. Press the latches in the direction of the arrows (Fig. 10.3). Move the glove box down and remove it.



6. Remove the cover in the driver's footwell (arrows) (Fig. 10.4).



7. Unscrew the bolt (arrow) (Fig. 10.5). Disconnect the wiring connector from the switch on the steering column.





8. Drill out bolts 1 and remove them (Fig. 10.6). Disconnect the steering column from the retainer and remove it.

Installation

9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
